Harley completed one semester at Arizona State University before serving a two-year, LDS mission to Eastern Canada. He attended Mesa public schools and graduated from Mesa High School in 1962. Surviving are his children: Debbie Ballard, Patty Jarvis, Michelle (Frederick) Bourne, Michelle Coulter, JoAnne Johnroe (Lucas Schumann) and Allen (Christina) Johnroe, twenty-five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and one sister Peggy Ann (Ron) Simmons and one brother Donald Jarvis. Harley was born to Warren Lake Jarvis and Opal Fuller Jarvis (Hopps) on Decemand was raised in Mesa, Arizona. Charlie was a passionate Detroit Lions fan and enjoyed taking almost daily walks around Walmart. He was employed with Steering Gear in Saginaw for many years until he ventured out on his own repairing electronics. Charlie was born Septemin Bay City to the late Charles and Helen (Zielinski) Jarvis.
